This has affected two GP surgeries (Drs BS Virdee and OS Singh) based at the site. The surgeries will be closed for approximately one week, but alternative arrangements have been made for patients.
Dr Virdee will see patients at Reach Healthcare Practice at 62A Robin Hood Lane, Walderslade, ME5 9LD. Telephone number: 01634 687200.
Dr OS Singh will see patients from Princes Park Medical Centre, Dove Close, Walderslade, ME5 7TD. Telephone number: 01634 337443.
All patients can still contact 111 for advice and direction at any time, and the Medway GP Walk-in Centre, 447-553 Canterbury Street, Gillingham, Kent ME7 5LF can also be contacted on Tel 01634 575232 between 8am and 8pm.
It is extremely important that patients do not go to A&E unless its absolutely necessary as it is very busy at present during this hot weather.
There are a number of clinics also affected by this closure:
- Anticoagulation (Warfarin)
- Cardiology (heart services)
- Children’s therapy
- Dental (community)
- Leg ulcer
- Nutrition and dietetics
- Orthopaedic assessment (CAS)
- Phlebotomy (blood tests)
- Physiotherapy (musculoskeletal)
- Tissue viability/wound therapy
If you already have an appointment booked for one of these clinics the service will contact you to let you know of any changes.
For drop-in blood tests the nearest clinic is Parkwood clinic on Wednesday and either Rainham, Twydall or The Sunlight Centre on Thursday. Details for these clinics can be found on Medway Community Healthcare blood test page.
Anticoagulation (Warfarin) patients can attend walk-in clinics at St Bartholomew’s Hospital on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, at 8.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience to patients and families and hope that you will bear with us as we deal with this issue.
